Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006) written and directed by Goran Dukic and starring Patrick Fugit and Shannyn Sossamon is set in a strange afterlife way-station that has been reserved for people who have committed suicide.  It is based on Etgar Keret‘s short story “Kneller’s Happy Campers”. A graphic novel version was titled Pizzeria Kamikaze.

I really like this folky, dark, gypsy song that keeps playing throughout the movie (Gogol Bordello:  Through The Roof And Underground).  Also, some interesting trivia about the soundtrack is that it features songs from a number of famous suicides: Del Shannon, Ian Curtis, Nick Drake, and David Sutch. Gram Parsons, whose drug overdose is paralleled by Mikal’s OD (Shannyn Sossamon’s character), is also featured.
