Interzone, Tangier, Morocco.

After a long bus ride from southern Spain and a ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to Africa, we arrived in Burroughs’ port city of Tangier, where he – in an opium induced state – wrote Naked Lunch in the 1950s and was visited by Ginsberg and, of course, Kerouac. Like another continent entirely! Mugwumps. Everywhere.
